School of Continuing Studies

The School of Continuing Studies evolved in the 1970s out of the old university "Department of Extension". It offers a growing number of courses and certificate programs and by 2010 was enrolling more than fifteen thousand students annually. It is housed in a former office building (previously the St. George Medical Centre) purchased by the university. In 2004 the building was expanded and extensively updated by the highly-regarded Toronto firm Moriyama & Teshima Architects.
