Preparator at the Royal Ontario Museum of Zoology

Mr T.B. Kurata accompanied Sir E.M. Walker in a collecting trip in the summer of 1913 at the Pacific Biological Station. The primary goal of the expedition was to collect marine material, however their entomological interests were not neglected and while exploring the Rocky Mountain area near Banff, the primitive insect, Grylloblatta, was discovered, attracting world-wide attention.
