Lieutenant-Governor of Upper Canada (1835-1837)

Sir Francis Bond Head succeeded Sir John Colborne as Lieutenant-Governor of Upper Canada when Colborne was recalled to England in 1836. He began his term in session during a dispute between the Legislative Council and the House of Assembly over the educational charter involving the erection of King's College.
