Our mission states briefly here:

Green Health Discovery Magazine (GHDM) was founded by motivated scholars from University of Toronto in March, 2009. GHDM is the only language (English-Chinese) holistic health publication in Canada and China. Our magazine creates a platform for individuals with an interest in health sciences to communicate their knowledge between Canada and China. Canada has a booming health industry and therefore has the capacity and resources to provide China with current and credible knowledge of holistic health. China is a developing country with one of the fastest growing economies but limited health awareness, resources and accessibility. Public health education and information are in great need in China and Chinese community in North America. On the other hand, sharing Chinese extensive knowledge and practice of traditional Chinese medicine, we can further the unification of health and medicine practices.

Key readership and membership are from the university community, since they are the most powerful and passionate forces to bring up evocation of health awareness and connection with Chinese community and China. In addition to our semi-annual publication, we also host many activities and events that promote intellectual exchanges and enrich university experience.
